OUR puppy CONTRACT

In accordance with the terms of agreement as provided in this contract:

  •   The puppy will be up to date on vaccinations and be de-wormed at the time of delivery/pick-up. The seller guarantees the puppy to be health checked by a vet and found to be free of genetic defects and  in good health at the time of sale

  •   The purchaser agrees to take this dog to a licensed veterinarian of his choice within 48 hours (2 days) of receiving said pup for a confirmatory health check.

  •   Should the dog be determined to be in ill health, the cause of which is clearly attributable to the seller, the dog may be returned with a written diagnosis from two qualified licensed veterinarians, at least one of whom Hurricane Bay Kennels agrees to, for another pup of equal value.  If there are no more pups available for trade, a spot with an equal value can then be reserved for the exchange on any current or future breeding.

  •   Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE, but can be transferred to another litter from Hurricane Bay Kennels.

  •    If at any time the Buyer decides that he or she can no longer keep the dog, they must first offer it back to the Seller.  If the Seller/Breeder does not buy the dog back, it can then be sold to another party.  Buyer will notify Seller in writing of their new address should they decide to relocate.

  •   The puppy is guaranteed for one year to be free of genetic defects,  should a defect present itself during that time a replacement pup of equal or lesser value will be made available from the customers litter of choice. This guarantee  applies to the original puppy & owner ONLY, and is non-transferable.  NO replacement will be given if the male or female HAS been bred, neutered or spayed, or Registration application form has expired.  New owner is responsible for transportation costs to and from Hurricane Bay Kennels.

  •   Hurricane Bay Kennels does not reimburse shipping fees. No exceptions. There is no reimbursement on vet bills. No exceptions.

  •   We do not guarantee hip or elbow dysplasia as these are larger dogs generally over 100 pounds and it is a polygenic trait that is affected by environmental factors, (i.e. food, exercise, living quarters) as well as the fact that few other XL breeders are OFA testing their studs. There is no way for us to breed to any outside studs with an official complete health tested line. There is no way to guarantee perfect hips in these animals. Buyer assumes all risk.
